Community Acupuncture

Everyone knows the healthcare system in the United States is failing. You are forced to pay high premiums and co-pay fees, only to have the doctor see you for 5 minutes (if that) and hand you a prescription, for which you will again have to pay.

If you try to get holistic treatments by acupuncturists, you will find that the fees run anywhere from $65-$170 per treatment. Not many people can afford to pay such fees on a weekly basis. And the truth is, acupuncture works best when received frequently and for a period of a few weeks to a few months (depending on the condition). At these high rates, most people cannot afford to pay to receive enough acupuncture to get better. What makes it worse is that even if you do get a treatment at these fees, the acupuncture itself lasts a mere 20 minutes – sometimes not even enough time for you to relax.

Community acupuncture remedies all these critical problems by changing everything about the way healthcare is offered:

  • We treat in a community setting, with several people receiving their treatments at the same time
  • We use a sliding scale of $15-40. You choose what you pay each time. You don't have to prove your income, and the quality of your treatment will never be affected by how much you pay. At these rates, you can afford to get acupuncture as frequently as you need or want, so you can get better and stay better.
  • When getting acupuncture in our community clinic, your treatment lasts as long as you want. Once the needles are in, most people fall into a relaxing sleep and wake up rested and refreshed. Your body will tell you when you are ready to get up – and this time varies from person to person. You can stay for an hour or more – this is your time to rest and heal.
